Visual Identity
2022 – Rasht
Medium is a multimedia festival held in Rasht, Iran, celebrating experimental and interdisciplinary artistic practices. We were invited to develop a complete visual identity that would reflect the nature and spirit of the festival.
As with many of our projects, our approach was minimalist by intention and by request — aligning with the festival team’s desire for a clean, modern, and cohesive look.
For the logo, we chose to focus on the first letter of the festival’s name in Persian, treating it as a central visual anchor. The rest of the identity system was built around the logo, using its structure and form as a visual guide to create a unified graphic language across all touchpoints.
When it came to designing the festival poster, we decided to break away from standard print formats. Instead of using traditional poster dimensions, we created a wide-format design that stood out boldly when installed across the city. This bold proportion helped differentiate the poster from others in the urban environment — drawing attention and increasing visibility.
Our work for the festival spanned multiple components, including: Logo design, posters, booklets, social media posts and website design.
Throughout the project, our aim was to maintain a minimal yet distinctive aesthetic, ensuring that every design element felt connected and intentional. The result was a visual identity that resonated deeply with the festival team and audience alike.
